Our Kids, Our Inspiration

Thank you, Teacher Joy. Excited po palagi anak ko tuwing may therapy siya. Nakikita ko po na natuturuan siya ng maayos. Understanding ka po at updated kami palagi sa mga ginagawa niya every session.

At first, we were hesitant to enroll our son since there was no advice yet from the doctor. My son is a pandemic baby and was not able to mingle with other people or kids (also that time he was the only kid in the family, there was no one to play with him, just the yaya and I). But I think it might be okay for my son to be with other kids. So, we decided to have an assessment on Kid’s Journey. On his first day, it was heartbreaking because you could hear him cry so much. Days passed by, little by little he was able to be open or comfortable with other people and kids. Kid’s Journey was and still is a great help to my son. His behavior is improving so much. He was so aggressive, very impatient and didn’t like having other kids along with him, even with his sibling he didn’t play with them. But now, he is so friendly, likes to play/mingle with other kids and he even takes care of his sibling. Now, he is enrolled as kinder 1 in Kid’s Journey. He’s having a great time doing school work like writing, coloring, and reading. He does communicate better now, unlike before he would throw tantrums. I want to say thank you for Kid’s Journey for assisting my son every step of the way.

Good morning po Teacher, yesterday nag-tracing kami ni Lukas ng alphabet nakakatuwa dahil marunong na siya humawak ng pencil and nakakapagsulat na rin po siya. Sobrang saya niya magsulat at sinasabi niya na Teacher Joy will give 10 stars. Teacher, pwede niyo po ba bigyan si Lukas ng stars pinadala ko po yung tracing book niya nasa bag sabi ko show it to Teacher Joy. Tapos paulit-ulit siya you will give him stars. Para ma-motivate siya lagi mag write and para maging happy si Lukas. Thank you, Teacher.

Kid's Journey was Joaquin's first helping hand in his development and autism journey. His OT with Teacher Hanna started when he was only 18 months. Through the years we have seen Joaquin matured and achieved several milestones. From crying sessions, Joaquin learned to be independent and attend his therapy on his own. He learned colors, shapes, alphabets, and self-help activities. Even his grip on pens and crayons have greatly improved. All of these learnings helped him to be prepared as he started his Kinder Class this year. We are forever grateful to Kid's Journey's staff and therapists, for their patience and commitment to help and develop children especially those with special needs.

Summer started with Kids' Journey mid-April 2025. After a month, she was able to wave her hands. I got it on video and was so happy for my child. This was a gesture that I tried teaching her for so long but was not successful. I truly appreciate the effort of her SPED/OT teacher - Teacher Ralph and his Occupational Therapist - Teacher Aaron for helping my Summer with her everyday-needed life skills. She is now able to pretend play with her stuff toys and kitchen toys. She can now do pointing, imitate actions from songs and follow simple instructions -like get or give. Having Teacher Ralph and Teacher Aaron's tandem gives her, so far, the best therapy there is. Aside from the life skills she is learning now, I feel my child is safe and taken care of in the school. I know so since she always anticipates Teacher Ralph getting her in the morning and always wants to go back inside when dismissed. I truly appreciate the teachers and the OTs at Kids' Journey. Thanks for partnering with me to help my daughter with her everyday life. More power to you guys.
